On Tuesday evening, Apple presented four new iPhones using the design of previous versions. Several technical improvements are included, especially on the side of the rear photo block. Most of the parts that compose it had already leaked several days before the announcement of the mobiles, but certain specificities remained to be confirmed before choosing to checkout: follow the guide.

iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13

No difference between the lenses of the iPhone 13 mini and those of the iPhone 13. Sony is still at the helm with the EXMOR brand, but LG would have been ousted from the assembly. On the iPhone 13 side, the same thing: the technical sheet is the same as on the iPhone 12, with Retina Flash, 12 MPx and f / 2.2 at the front. As for the dorsal lens, it has an f/1.6 aperture compared to f/2.4 for the wide-angle*. The rumors of the last few weeks that announced a greater field of vision were therefore misleading.

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max

The aperture goes from f/2.0 (or f/2.2 for the iPhone 12 Pro Max) to f/2.8 for the telephoto lens, now capable of focusing at two centimeters and compatible with night mode: insects and stars never better behave. For the wide-angle, the improvement is less clear: f/1.5 against f/1.6 previously. As for the ultra wide-angle, which had an f/2.4 aperture with the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, it is now counting on f/1.8.

The zooms are also improved: digital up to x15 (vs x10 previously) and optical up to x3 at the front (vs x2) or x6 at the rear (vs x4). On the video side, recording in ProRes is more part of the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max unlike the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max.
