While the Indians slowly adopt digital payment methods, a new feature has arrived on Paytm and Google Pay which allows users to share the invoice with their contacts.

The functionality eliminates the need to manually calculate how much each person must pay, then ask a person to pay the main invoice before the others return equal sums of their accounts.

Here's how to easily share the bill with your friends and family on Google Pay and Paytm:

Google Pay

By opening Google Pay and by pressing the new payment option on the main page, a new screen will open this screen, under the "Transfer money" tab, a "new group" option will appear.Clicking on this option, a new screen will appear with the names of the contacts.

On this screen, the contacts with which the invoice must be split can be added to groups.Google Pay will display all recent contacts and you can press those that interest you to add them to the groups.

On the following screen, users will be invited to name the group. Once the group has been created, users will see a "Share an expense" button at the bottom. After having entered the amount to be distributed among the members of the group, the amount mayBeing distributed equally or a personalized amount that a certain user must pay can be entered. Users can also uncheck a member of the group if this member does not need to pay for a particular expenditure.

Once the parameters are defined, press the "Send the request" button to generate a payment request. The progress of payment can be followed from the group's main screen to see the group members paid.

When opening the PAYTM application, users must slide directly on the conversation page and search for the "Split Bill" option at the bottom.

Press the option to open a new page where the amount to be divided must be entered and the contacts that will divide the bill added.

In a next page, users can check the "Automatic distribution also" option or manually modify the amount that each member must pay, after which a payment request will be sent.

By typing on the amount on the main page of the group, you will get more information on the distribution, including the members who have paid.
