You may not know it, but Free Mobile offers small online configuration guides for different smartphone models.

Removing or inserting the SIM card, problem receiving MMS, loss of network signal, changing the PIN code, obtaining the IMEI code, using visual voicemail or accessing the Wi-Fi network, all topics covered in the guides configuration provided by Free Mobile.

To find them, go to the support page for Free Mobile subscribers and available at https://mobile.free.fr/assistance. In the “My phone” box, just click on “See all phones”.

Then comes the time to inform the brand of the smartphone. We obviously find there Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Sony, Nokia, Motorola and Wiko, but also ZTE, Alcatel, Archos, LG or HTC.

After choosing the brand, we arrive at the list of models. In our case, that of Apple, we find the latest iPhone 12 and the iPhone SE 2020, but also the previous generations from the iPhone 4S to the iPhone 11 via the iPhone 6S.

By clicking on the guide of a smartphone, the iPhone 12 Pro in our example, the user has access to various aids grouped under several themes (getting started, using services, solving and others). The introductory page of the guide also provides information on 5G compatibility, eSIM compatibility and the version of its operating system.

Each question is approached step by step with supporting diagrams to facilitate understanding.

An update would not be too much

A very practical tool in itself, but which would however deserve a small update. The lists are indeed not complete for all brands. On the Samsung side, for example, the Galaxy S20 series is there, but not the most recent Galaxy S21 family. On the Xiaomi side, we have the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Lite, but not the Mi 11i and Mi 11 Lite 5G, which are nevertheless present in the operator's store. The records are not completely up to date. The getting started section of the Galaxy A12, Galaxy A42 5G, and Galaxy Note20 5G smartphones does indeed feature some old screenshots.

Finally, Oppo does not appear in the list of brands, but some models of the manufacturer do have their guide. Instead of clicking on “See all phones”, you have to use the carousel to find them. There are thus the Oppo A53, Oppo A53s and Oppo Reno4 Z, which are or have been marketed by the operator.
