The Instagram boss has announced that it will be possible to shake off his smartphone to send a bug report to the developers of the application.

Instagram, well aware that some bugs can be very frustrating for users, has decided to bet on this little gesture of frustration to associate a functionality, as reported by The Verge site.In a video published on Twitter, Adam Mosseri, Boss of Instagram, details this new gesture which he describes as "rabies".

"Have you ever used Instagram and it didn't work for how it was supposed?Maybe the stories did not take care of each other, maybe the audio did not work, maybe you couldn't put a photo online and that really annoyed you?Now you can literally shake the smartphone and a small option will be displayed to allow you to report a problem, "said the social network manager.

Concretely, this feature uses the smartphone accelerometer and will display a small pop-up within Instagram asking you if something goes wrong and will allow you to press a "report" button.Users will then have the possibility of explaining in detail what does not suit them and the circumstances during which the problem has been encountered.A screenshot will be associated with the message to allow the developers of the application to better understand the context in order to correct the bug.

This rage jolt function will be gradually deployed on the Instagram application both on iOS and on Android.Nevertheless, it will only be offered at first in the United States.

A function to delete a photo of a carousel

In addition to this BUG report function, Adam Mosseri also announced the possibility of deleting a single photo in a carousel published on the social network.It will therefore no longer be necessary to delete the entire photo group, but users will be able to choose the images (s) to be deleted without erasing the publication.

This function will first arrive at the iOS application before landing on Android.
