At the end of October 2020, the Vivo brand announced the launch of its activity in France on the smartphone market. For the occasion, the manufacturer of Chinese origin presented several models from the top to the entry level. Thus, in the order of the most advanced technical characteristics, there is the Vivo X51 5G then the Vivo Y70 for the mid-range. The Y11s and Y20s representing the manufacturer's entry-level. Then nothing until last May when Vivo spoke again to announce the arrival on the market of the Y72 5G and X60 Pro models. The latter stealing the show from the X51 5G and positioning itself as the brand's flagship.

What's under the hood?

Technically, the Vivo X60 Pro is the brand's most successful smartphone. Indeed, it offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip associated with 12 GB of RAM. The manufacturer has integrated a technology that allows the mobile to use storage memory as RAM when needed. This should allow it to offer excellent performance. Then, the X51 5G has a Snapdragon 765G processor with 8 GB of RAM, without the possibility of using part of the spare storage space. Then comes the Y72 5G with its Mediatek Dimensity 700 chip with 8 GB of RAM, which is ahead of the Y70 with its Snapdragon 665 processor also with 8 GB of RAM. The entry-level Y20s model brings up the rear with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chip and 4 GB of RAM. All offer at least 128 GB of storage space with, most of the time, the possibility of extending this capacity with a memory card (except for the X60 Pro).
