Some mobility customers of Bell, and its Virgin subsidiary, woke up with a surprise on Monday morning when their cell phone had already changed the time.

However, it is not until next Sunday, November 7, that the return to Eastern Standard Time will take place in Quebec.
However, the European time change took place on the night of October 30 to 31. It could therefore be that the company made a mistake and made the change a week earlier for its Quebec customers.
On the Bell side, it was confirmed that "some customers may have noticed an incorrect time change on their phones this morning."
Bell said the issue was resolved around 9 a.m. She suggested to users whose cell phone would always show the wrong time to restart their device so that everything goes back to normal.
Steve Waterhouse, cybersecurity expert, explained that users with automatic time zone adjustment were inconvenienced by the time change, while those who do it manually were not affected by this error.
Several people confirmed to TVA Nouvelles that this erroneous time change had caused delays at work since their alarm had not sounded at the right time.
For Steve Waterhouse, it is clearly a human error.
“Did someone set it up wrong for next week? Only Bell had this problem, while all the other telecommunications services are working well this morning,” noted the expert in an interview with LCN.
The latter said that it was not very complicated to solve the problem since it is a common system for all Bell users.
"It sounds innocuous, but it has real consequences on the labor market," confirmed the specialist.
