This is how much it costs to make the Samsung Galaxy S21+.

The iPhone 13 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S21+ are two of the best phones we can buy in 2021. The one made by Apple is a bestseller, especially thanks to new features such as Cinema mode while the another was launched at the beginning of the year, it is still a reference in terms of Android phones.

Both terminals cost the same (about $999) although according to what has been learned, one is cheaper to produce and manufacture than the other. Although of course everything has a reason.

Samsungs are cheaper to make than iPhones

A few days ago the folks at Techinsights took the iPhone 13 Pro completely apart to find out how it was put together, what its components were, and of course, how much it cost to make. The result is that Apple's phone cost around $570 to make, all excluding labor, research or advertising costs. Component only.

Now, as we read in SAMMobile, they have done the same with the Samsung Galaxy S21+ and the results have been amazing. Although both phones have the same official market price, the Samsung is cheaper to make, around $508.

The explanation is very simple. The components used by Apple are more expensive than those of Samsung so the price is higher. In other words, on paper, Samsung would make more money per unit sold than Apple. Although we remind you, these figures do not include other non-component expenses.

Moreover, the iPhone 13 Pro is not only more expensive to produce than its rival Samsung but also its predecessor, the iPhone 12 Pro, which cost around $548. That is to say, Apple spent more money on components for this new iPhone than last year, which Samsung does not seem to have done.

For this reason, before saying that if a phone is a scam or has an extra cost, it would still be necessary to see what its competitors are investing in components.
