Samsung and the Canal+ Group today announce the availability of the new CANAL+ application on Samsung Smart TVs. Program discovery, personalization and innovation are at the heart of this application, pre-installed today on the Samsung Smart TV 2021 range.

By opening the CANAL+ application, users access a new immersive and multi-thematic Home screen, personalized according to their tastes and uses and which also highlights the editorial selections prepared by CANAL+'s passionate experts.

The platform's Menu has also been redesigned to better guide subscribers and allow them to easily find the content they want to watch. The Live brings together all of their favorite channels. For each live program, they can resume it at the beginning if they take it in progress, go back, manage the breaks at their convenience. They also have the option of watching a program up to 8 hours after it has been broadcast, thanks to the Start-Over function.

From the Explorer menu, subscribers can access the full wealth of the CANAL+ catalog and all the programs available at any time. Finally, with the Profiles feature, they benefit from a personalized and intuitive interface adapted to their preferences.

Optimal conditions for consuming the exceptional content of the CANAL+ offers

Thanks to CANAL+[1] offers, subscribers have access to the best content. Sports enthusiasts can follow the 2020-2021 season of the league 1 Uber Eats, but also the entire Top 14[2], the Formula 1 Championship, the Motorcycle Grand Prix and the English Premier League, etc. Cinema lovers can take advantage of the most recent cinema, with more than 300 new films a year, CANAL+ Original Creations and major international series.

The new CANAL+ application is pre-installed on the 2021 Smart TV range. It will therefore be accessible on the new Samsung Neo QLED televisions in particular. The latter offer exceptional image quality thanks to the new intelligent Neo Quantum Processor and tens of thousands of Quantum Mini LEDs, 40x smaller than conventional LEDs, which display ultra-detailed and bright images and a level of contrast raised.

The CANAL+ application will also be available on the Samsung 2018 to 2020 Smart TV ranges during the second half of 2021 via update[3].
