Samsung has started rolling out One UI 4 for smartphones and tablets. Samsung's own user interface based on Android 12 is already available for the Galaxy S21 series. Other smartphones should follow in the coming months.

Unlike previous years, this time Samsung is at the forefront of distributing the new version of Android. After Google's pixel smartphones, Galaxy S21 models are among the first smartphones to receive an update to Android 12. According to an official Samsung press release, users can download One UI 4 as an OTA update for their Galaxy S21 model since November 15. However, updates may not be immediately available, but may be rolled out in multiple waves.

Several update roadmaps for different regions have been leaked

Meanwhile, various roadmaps have also been leaked showing when the Android 12 update is expected to roll out for other Samsung models. After a listing for the Korean market, listings for the Middle East and Brazil have also appeared, reports Notebookcheck. A roadmap for the Android 12 update in Europe does not seem to exist yet.

The time windows for different Samsung models differ slightly by region. Basically, however, the newer and better Samsung models are getting One UI 4 earlier than older mid-range devices. If the listings are correct, the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 models as well as the Z Fold3, Z Flip3, Z Fold2 and Z Flip should receive Android 12 next. This happens between December 2021 and January 2022, depending on the market.

Samsung's first A-series devices should then receive the update in January or February 2022. The roadmaps for Europe shouldn't differ too much from other markets.
