A representative of Samsung has confirmed to the Korean site Digital Daily that its next foldable smartphones will be presented on August 11.

We have suspected for several months that Samsung will take advantage of the month of August to present its new range of foldable smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Nevertheless, we now know, with more precision, the date of presentation of the two models.

The Korean site Digital Daily has indeed obtained information from Samsung, indicating that the Galaxy Unpacked conference will take place on August 11 at 4 p.m. French time. “The presentation will be streamed online on August 11 at the same time as usual,” a Samsung representative told the Korean publication.
This year, the two new foldable smartphones should thus take the niche usually reserved for Galaxy Note smartphones, no model of which is expected for 2021.
Four products expected on August 11
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be a new version of the smartphone that can unfold to allow you to discover a device in tablet format. This time it would be compatible with the S-Pen stylus – a first for a Galaxy Fold – and would also benefit from a selfie camera hidden behind the screen. For its part, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 would take over from the Galaxy Z Flip, while integrating a larger external screen. Inside, there would be a Snapdragon 888 and a 6.7-inch screen with a 25:9 ratio. Above all, the product would be launched at a much more attractive price than the previous model, Samsung now seeking to democratize foldable smartphones.
Besides these two phones, the Korean manufacturer could also take advantage of the event to announce some accessories. This is particularly the case with the Galaxy Watch 4, the first watch from the firm to embed the Wear OS operating system with the One UI interface. The new Galaxy Buds 2 headphones would also be unveiled during this conference.
We will still have to wait until August 11 to find out more about all of Samsung's new products and in particular their complete characteristics, their price or their availability.
