The connected watch, or smartwatch in English, closely resembles a classic watch. If the 2.0 watch is a stunning success, it is because it has a number of advantages. In addition to clinging to the wrist and telling us the time, its touch screen allows us to access a multitude of features.

Why have a smartwatch?

In short, you no longer need to always have your smartphone in your hand. The little extra? Some waterproof models even allow you to swim hands-free!

Connected watch and bracelet, what are the differences?

While they are similar on many points, the connected watch and the connected activity bracelet are not identical.

Considered as a real relay for your smartphone, the connected watch gives you access to all the content of your phone (contacts, applications, notifications, etc.), thanks to a Bluetooth connection between the two devices.

The connected bracelet, independent of your mobile, is more like a faithful companion on the road. Loaded with sensors, it scrutinizes your lifestyle. It calculates the number of steps taken during the day, it records your heartbeat and evaluates your sleep. All the recorded data is then sent, then analyzed, via a dedicated application on your smartphone.

If you need to be ultra connected to your networks at all times, opting for a connected watch will be more judicious. If you are looking for an accessory to improve your lifestyle and take care of your health, without any real need for the classic functionalities of a telephone, the connected bracelet is ideal.
